What is Mesotherapy?

The method, which was first applied by Dr Pistor in France about 60 years ago, was started to be taught in universities as a traditional medicine method in France in 2002. It can be defined as the administration of drug mixtures consisting of certain substances (amino acids, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, fat dissolving substances, antioxidants, hair enhancing substances, growth factors, etc.) to treat medical or cosmetic problems with special needles and special techniques. The aim is to bring the target tissue and the substances necessary for the tissue closer together. Subcutaneous tissues are physically and chemically stimulated.

Although the ratio of which ingredient to be mixed in which disease is based on the personal knowledge of the physician, special formulations prepared by many dermatocosmetic companies are now used.

The advantage over other drug treatments is that the drugs are used in small doses and locally. In this way, the risk of side effects is considerably reduced.

Which Areas Is It Applied?

Mesolift can be applied to many areas such as face, neck, décolleté, hands, scalp for hair mesotherapy and legs, abdomen, buttocks for cellulite. It can also be used for cracks, blemishes, various skin diseases, etc. It is also used in herpetic pain, chronic muscle spasm, tendonitis and many diseases except cosmetology.

Substances Used in Mesolift (Face, Neck, Decollete and Hand Mesotherapy)?

Hyaluronic acid (substance that fills between collagen and elastin fibres in the skin, moisturises the skin, protects it against damage, decreases with age. The preparations applied are usually pure drugs without cross-linking), amino acids (protein building block), DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol, precursor of phosphotidyl choline, antioxidant, causes contraction of muscles and stretching of the skin), alpha lipoic acid (a strong antioxidant), X-ADN (highly polymerised DNA obtained from salmon milk, very similar to human DNA. It also contains B vitamin complex. ), procaine and lidocaine (increase absorption of other drugs), fonzylane (increases microcirculation), conjonctyl (organic silica, regenerates collagen and elastin fibres in the dermis, increases collagen-producing fibroblast cells), esberiven (increases collagen synthesis, dissolves oedema), multivitamin (B1 improves microcirculation, B2 is necessary for the body’s oxygen use and carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism, B3 regulates the release of energy in cells, helps healthy skin formation, provides moisturisation, B5 helps the formation of healthy muscle skin nervous system, prevents greying of hair and wrinkles, B6 helps the immune system, vitA increases fibroblasts, provides new collagen formation and provides the excretion of dead cells in the skin and the formation of new vessels, vitC strengthens the immune system, is an antioxidant, increases collagen production, strengthens, lightens dark spots, vitE is an antioxidant, moisturises the skin), minerals (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, selenium), AHA etc.

The skin dries, its elasticity decreases and wrinkles increase with age due to internal factors such as genetics, hormones and external factors such as smoking, alcohol and sunlight. Mesolift is applied to revitalise, increase elasticity and moisturise the skin. It can be used in aging skin as well as to delay and prevent aging. It is applied to rejuvenate and renew the skin, to strengthen the collagen tissue, to recover the loosened and sagging skin. It is a process called youth vaccine.

It varies according to the product applied and the experience of the practitioner. Generally, 2 sessions every 2 weeks above the age of 35, 3-4 sessions every 3 weeks under the age of 35, and then maintenance sessions every 3 months are recommended.

The procedure takes approximately 1 hour, including topical anaesthetic creams before the procedure.

The first expected effect is a bright, vibrant facial appearance. It also causes skin tightness. Another effect is the filling effect on wrinkles. Although this is not felt in the first sessions due to the lack of moisture in the skin, it begins to be felt in repeated sessions as the skin is saturated with water.

After the procedure, sunbathing or solarium should be prohibited for 48 hours, the applied area should not be washed for 8 hours, and sports should not be performed. Chemical peeling between sessions increases the effect of mesolift.

Sensitivity, burning, pain, itching, redness, bruising, small accumulations of blood, infection, allergic reactions

It should not be used in patients with end-stage heart failure, renal failure, those receiving blood thinners, pregnant and breastfeeding women, those allergic to the drug used, patients receiving chemotherapy. It should also not be used in patients with immunological diseases, diabetics using insulin, patients with skin lesions.
