Eczema is one of the most common skin diseases referred to dermatology outpatient clinics. There are different types of eczema and its appearance is often red, dry, with cracks on it, sometimes with tiny fluid-filled bubbles and oozing. It is usually itchy and painful if there are cracks. In advanced periods, crusting, dandruff and thickening of the skin are observed. Sometimes, especially if the diagnosis and treatment is delayed, microbes may get involved and infections may develop because the skin barrier is disrupted. Therefore, early application is important.

Especially in winter months, the susceptibility to eczema increases with the drying of our skin. If we cannot provide good moisturisation in atopic skin, conversion to eczema is common. Again, eczema develops frequently with exposure to chemicals, especially liquid soap, detergent and occupational chemical exposure. If eczema of allergic origin has occurred, even a very small amount of contact with the allergen can cause eczema. Chemical-induced eczema does not improve as long as contact continues.

There are different types of eczema such as atopic eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis, asteatotic eczema, contact eczema, numular eczema and nervous eczema. Your skin disease must first be diagnosed so that it can be treated. For this, you should consult a dermatologist (dermatologist) instead of using neighbourhood medicines and pharmacies.

The most important thing in treatment is to protect the skin against eczema by moisturising, avoiding allergens and chemicals and of course stress. Nutrition is also important in order not to increase the inflammation load in the body. Anti-inflammatory cortisone and similar drugs, antihistamines and skin regenerating drugs are used.

For 10 years, I have been serving in the field of dermatocosmetology (ie dermatological diseases and filling, mesotherapy, botox applications and the use of medical laser devices).
